See where your music comes from.

Music Maps puts the artists you listen to on the map. Play a song and the globe turns to the place its artist calls home. Then look back at everywhere your listening has taken you.

Earth

Follow your music around the globe

While a song plays, Music Maps spins a 3D Earth to the artist’s hometown and shows the city and country they come from and, where it is known, when they got started.

Every song is a short trip, from your headphones to wherever the music began.

The Music Maps Earth screen: a 3D globe turned toward South America and Africa against a starry sky, with the message “Discover where your music comes from.”

Recent Travels

Explore your recent listening on a map

The artists you have been playing appear as pins on a map of the world. Zoom from the whole planet down to a single city, or open a country to browse the artists you have heard from there.

Choose a time range, from the last day to all of your history, and see how far your music has travelled.

Passport

Collect countries in a musical Passport

Each new country in your listening earns a stamp in your Passport, labelled with the artist who took you there. Turn the pages to relive the journey, and watch the empty spaces fill up.

An open Passport with six country stamps, for Japan, Canada, Nigeria, Germany, Chile and Mali, each labelled with the artist who earned it.

Coming soon

Music Maps is getting ready for the App Store. Not every artist has a known hometown, and some places are approximate, so a few songs may stay off the map.
